I mentioned the state Franchise Tax. To let you know how bad this is it went up this year DRASTICALLY! Say you owed $500 last year..... this year it is $5000K!!!!!!!!!!!!! OUCH! We just got ours back today from the CPA and EVERYONE is really getting hit w/ this one. Here is something to read up on this tax:
Texas Franchise Tax - FAQs

Revised Texas Franchise Tax

In addition because the deadline changed this year due to the ***holes in Austin not getting their *%#$ together the due date is later in June instead of May. Our dear ex-gov now currently sitting in that big white building in dc promised to get rid of the franchise tax if elected to governor. You can see he really did act on that. NOT! Did not even bring it up once when in office (and NO I did NOT vote for him and NEVER HAVE!). Hmm, can ya tell some of us are upset w/ this tax.

Yes, Dallas is full of businesses that are locally birthed and grown. The overwhelming majority of our customers are locally owned businesses. It is very possible to make it here if one has the right mindset.

Even if they had an emergency they should have put up a note apologizing. So can't wait to see if they are still in business next time I visit. I definitely won't buy anything from them.
I'm sure they won't miss you!!
