You’d also have to explain why Texas keeps moving left.
1. If Texas has leaped left as you claim why did TX dems. in the aggregate flop last month?

2. Regarding CoCo let me know when your side has a elected preponderance there.

You made the right move. Good job! We are in Prosper as well. Our home value shot up 50k in the past year but we are closer to DNT and Preston.

But I don't see Prosper referenced in this article.

I'm not so concerned about the politics as about people coming in, paying way over market value for houses, and driving up both housing prices and property taxes.

EDS, I know youre fully aware of what trends are. You know very well I wasnt saying Texas was all of the sudden blue, but youd have to bury your head in the sand if you think its not trending towards the center.

If a Texas voted for Romney by 16.1% in 2012, Trump by 9.2% in 2016, and Trump by 5.6% in 2020, what do you call that?

If Collin County voted for Romney by 31.6% in 2012, Trump by 27.0% in 2016, and Trump by only 4.4% in 2020, what do you call that?

Collin County is ground zero for Californians moving to Texas more so than any other place in the state. If you want a real picture of the impact of Californians, look there. I dont know when Texas will vote blue state wide next, but I am darn sure Collin County will be voting blue in the near future.

Those are VERY clear trends.

I don't know if we can draw any political conclusions based on the past election. We've never had a President who is so polarizing and hated by a significant portion of the population until now. People thought GB was hated by the time he left office... this goes way beyond that.

The suburbs did move left, but whether that is sustainable or not is debatable. Long term, sure, the state is moving left for now. That's been happening since Bush was governor. But most people are unaware that we had a Democrat as governor as late as 1994, and also in the 80's. Once any party comes into power it is very common for that power to ebb and switch sides.

Long term, TX will be blue, but it's going to take awhile, probably another decade or so at least.

You are a good guy but your negative fixations on Texas are strange for lack of a better word.
Gov. Abbott stated in a phone interview a few weeks ago that this was indeed true. He said a higher percentage of natives voted for Biden than the Cali transplants.

Id love to see the data backing that up. It doesnt pass the smell test. Collin County needs an explanation as to why the county that has the highest concentration of Californian transplants is the run racing the fastest to the left.

Can we somehow get these Californians to go up to Bryan and Atoka Counties (OK) instead? Let them drive up property taxes there!
