After JC Penney closed last year, with Macy's now closing, the only anchor that will be left is the Dillard's, which was already downsized to a clearance center in 2019.

It seems this used to be a pretty nice mall not even a decade ago. It's a shame how rapidly it's fallen off. My guess would be the Southlake Town Center kind of stole its thunder.

That mall started to die shortly after Stonebriar opened. It was ok when we first moved to Dallas in 1999, but by the time we left in 2011 it was a dump. I was actually surprised someone bought it when it went up for auction given that it honestly has no long-term future.

These dying malls need to be torn down and re-invisioned. This area has a lot of potential for nice growth.

I saw it as well as and went inside of it. It’s condition largely reminded me of Gwinnett Place Mall. I’ve been wondering the history of that mall.
