We live an area where we can have both, and went with Frontier. Internet is cheaper for the speed. But if you want to bundle with TV you get a better deal with Spectrum. Frontier is 500 up and down, so technically faster.

How is Frontier's customer service? We will not be bundling anything. I just need internet only. We cut the cord years ago.

Frontier. Have done both.

First Frontier (actually started as old Verizon -- I think -- sold off to Frontier),

then switched to Spectrum (truly sucked, jacked up prices, spotty service etc.)

Now back to Frontier. Seems good, and certainly better than Spectrum.

Just my experience.

I just called Frontier they do not offer service at our new address despite the Plano utility map showing they did. So, now I am about to call Spectrum.

I am in Garland also and I have Spectrum. I have had it forever and no issues. I cut the cord about 2 yrs ago and only have the internet at their fastest speed (400 I think, could be 5). I work from home and am in IT so I have a lot going on here as far as internet.
Other than area wide issues which is rare, I think I had a router go out years ago. I am paying about 100.00 a month.

A friend down the street had frontier and had nothing but problems but that was a couple of years ago.

I have Frontier gig service, previously verizon. Tried Spectrum twice years ago and always had issues. No issues whatsoever with fios.

I have heard others have no issues with spectrum so maybe it depends on actual underground lines in neighborhood.
