Does anyone know of a pediatrician (or a clinic) in the Dallas area that will administer the MMR vaccine separated into 3 shots?

I've heard of people having this done for their kids. Supposedly the preservative needed to mix the 3 vaccines is what is suspected to cause autism. I've heard of people in the area doing this so there's someone out there...Don't know who though. Sorry.

Try asking at LLL meetings (after the official meeting) or call area homebirth midwives and ask for their recommendations.

I just flat out didn't vaccinate my kids, although I do want to do a tetanus series for my oldest before she goes to camp this summer. TY for the reminder!

Good luck!

Are you having difficulty w/your current pediatrician regarding this?

They should be able to get the vaccine separately if you ask. There is no law in place that says they have to give it all in one shot. It's more of a convenience thing as well as only sticking the baby one time. Your ped might not keep them separately in stock, but if you let them know ahead of time your plans, you should be accomodated.

The above poster has a good idea about contacting someone from LLL.
