Interested in learning about Tucker Hill in McKinney. My husband and I have children in college and are empty nesters. We have been gone from the DFW area for 21 years but my husband recently retired and we are considering move back to the metroplex.

Old searches turned up posts that discussed the expansion of 380 and how it could affect the Tucker Hill Development. Did that happen?

Open to suggestions to areas in the DFW area. Love the idea of city living in Dallas but previous home tours (east Dallas/Lakewood)left me disappointed. Very high property taxes and not much of a house. Would like to stay in the 600,000-850,00 range. Familiar with Colleyville/Southlake in Tarrant County but recently read about Tucker Hill and the online pictures look nice.

Any information or opinions would be appreciated.

$850k gets a really nice house in East Dallas. Surprised to hear that. It gets a nice house just about anywhere except the Park Cities. Have you checked out North Oak Cliff/Kessler Park (75208)?

No, have not looked in Keller Park
but it is beautiful.

Looked in east Dallas last Feb so maybe it was the time of the year. Prices in that area have gone up and nothing I saw was right.

It sure looks like TxDot wants to put a highway right through Tucker Hill.

Next Thursday, TxDot is releasing environmental studies for this route. If route changes, it will be discussed but they made it clear route they recommended from the feasibility study above will highly unlikely change.
