With all of these locations, you'd definitely have to move if you get a job in Fort Worth. That being said, there are more corporate finance jobs in Dallas than in Fort Worth. Unlike many cities, though they aren't all in downtown Dallas. For example, my investment advisor's offices recently moved from downtown Dallas to Plano. That's not convenient for us so he comes to our home when he needs to meet with us.

I bet you’d like Castle Hills. Pretty decent commute to both Irving and Downtown. https://castlehills.com/?gclid=CjwKC...xoCDkMQAvD_BwE

Its a master planned community and Castle Hills Elementary is a top rated public school

I would look at Heath or Sunnyvale for proximity to potential jobs in Dallas. They are both super safe and both have new homes and excellent schools.

I recently searched in some of the areas that you mention. Overall, this is a very safe, family friendly area. If you are able to spend some time visiting these areas in person, you will get a feel for what they are actually like. Trophy Club seemed slightly isolated to me, but many posters have lauded that development and find it to be an outstanding place for raising a family, with many nice homes and amenities. Southlake may be above your budget, but you could check. I would also recommend checking Flower Mound, as several brand new communities have started building there, but there are also very nice, more established neighborhoods. I bought in Northern Grapevine, near the lake / Southlake, and this also is a wonderful area that is close to parks and the lake, with a historic Main Street that hosts large, fun events. Good luck!
