They'll seize it if you don't! Tell me, who really owns all the property in Texas? I think we pay a lot of money to rent it from the State.

Lower My Texas Property Taxes LLC is who I would recommend. I can't link the website, but if you google you can easily find it. Small business where the owner does all the work himself and consistently has amazing results!

I have a silly question related to this. I live in Frisco, Denton County. but I noticed last year I got notices from Collin County too. Do I need to send homestead exemption forms to BOTH Denton and Collin in this case?

Yes you must be getting taxed from someone that overlaps both counties like the school district or city.

Would not hurt to send to both.

I got mine two days ago. New construction in colin county.
I didn't send them the survey back - asked here and people said don't reply.
Well, the proposed value is about $15k higher than my purchase price.
So I had to protest and disclosed my purchase price with HUD evidence.
They immediately lowered to my purchase price.
Did I win?
Kind of wondering what would happen if I returned the survey.

Mine proposed was up about 4%, I protested, now it's at 1% or so.
