Hi all,

I am looking for a full time day-care/private school for my 2.5 year old daughter for the next school year. Her birthday is late September 2018. I tried Primrose for my older son, did not like it. I would prefer small class size, I do not like 2 teacher/24 kids ratio (which usually ends up 1 teacher/24 kids majority of time). I live at north Dallas (intersection of George bush with dallas north tollway) and I am working at Parkland Hospital.

Appreciate any suggestions.

My daughter is going to STEAMSpark Montessori. It opened in October 2020 and is at Valley View and Luna (not too far off 35). We have so far loved it!

The owner of the school used to be the principal of the Science and Engineering Magnet at Townview and then the Director of Magnet schools for DISD. She decided to start an early education school because she saw a lot of kids who were behind academically that didn't have an early education. They use the Montessori curriculum along with implementing STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) methods. The school goes through age six.

I am not sure about the two-year-old group, but with the under one-year-old group, they send pictures throughout the day along with when they eat, sleep, and change their diaper. Their classrooms have a ratio of 1:4 for teachers and kids.

Lastly, all the teachers are required to have a Master's degree or are currently working on their Master's. So far, I have been very impressed with this school and highly recommend it to anyone!
