hey all, I've been trying to get back into dancing (specifically hiphop and modern), was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for good studios in dallas that I can check out. Location doesn't matter for now, expected a lot to be in the downtown/uptown/oak lawn areas but haven't found anything apart from exercise classes.

thanks in advance!

I haven't looked into this, but I remember years ago that Meadows at SMU sometimes offered classes and programs outside of their general college courses. You might want to check that out.

Also, I'm not sure how old you are, but have you checked out Preston Center dance? Might be worth a call.

Check out Live Arts Conservatory. It's a new studio in Dallas. The guy I know who helps run it is excellent for hip hop and breakdancing all the way to ballet and modern. They are expanding their classes currently.

Another option may be Contemporary Ballet Dallas on mockingbird.

I am not a dancer but my wife is a dancer and dance teacher (she danced with Martha graham in NYC and now teaches here in Dallas) so I'm reasonably informed of what is going on with dance here. I'll ask her if she has any other recs.

This is great, thank you! I'll definitely go check them out

I know a kid who goes to iDanz. There are always adults in the videos she posts of her performances so I can only assume that they must have classes for adults too.
