That sounds nice. McKinney is turning into a hotbed of liberalism, and my neighborhood is going down the tubes and effectively depreciating in value. I'll have to look down there myself.

Is this serious? McKinney is the last place I would ever picture turning liberal.

Most of the Californians coming are quite conservative and jokingly referred to as “political refugees.”

Do you mean charter schools or do you mean out of pocket private schools? I was thinking of relocating to Texas and one of the reasons so that I can save on private schools because of the mandates and crt. So now you got me a bit worried that I’m going to be in the same situation in Texas unless charter schools are viable to avoid the concerns I have.

Going by the local election results last year and the closeness of the presidential election, that's how it looks. That local election should be an eye opener for the vast majority of registered voters who sat out. If politics are not bad enough already, this year we'll be getting liquor sales on the ballot.
