Drink plenty of fluids and don't go barefoot across an asphalt road in the summer time.

Service your AC regularly, it always goes out in July or August.

Ft Worth drivers are slow and crazy. Dallas drivers are fast and crazy. Just repeat these words to yourself when you are driving "Just let him go".

Consider all drivers armed. Only 25% might be but you don't know what 25%.

Consider what you might like about Texas and don't screw it up.

We don't care how you vote, who you sleep with, what 4th gender you claim to be as long as you leave us alone and don't tell us we are wrong.

Remember 50% of the people probably did not vote like you. But overall we look out for each other and want what's best.

I could go on....

Expect the unexpected when it comes to weather here. Rain, triple-digit heat, below-freezing temperatures, tornadoes - we have it all!

Also, don't be scared of Dallas. It's not as bad as some may make it out to be!

Get a large SUV and say a prayer every time you get on the highways and/or freeways. Drivers will try to kill you on the regular by tailgating, swerving at you, speeding all around the place and flying from one lane to the next. Oh, and don't expect to see any cops on the freeways, either. Literally could count on less than 2 hands how many I've seen on the freeways in the 6 years I've been here.

Park your car in the garage in the spring (and other times), especially when storms start to roll in.

You'll understand after you've lived through a hail storm with softball size hail.

Don't park in front of your neighbors house and better to not park on the street anyways.

Those were fun times. Remember the red and green "go lights" as well?

I remember they were always red - maybe a micro second blink of green.

Don't move here, we are already too crowded.

I've been here 37 years.

There is nothing to do. Everyone here is greedy as hell and cares about nothing but money.
They are also cheap as hell and nobody will pay for anything.

That's a fact. Sometimes they'd blink red, green, red so fast I wasn't sure if there was really ever a green or not.
