Are there any crime concerns to consider in the Victory Park area? Comparing it to Uptown or other nearby neighborhoods, is there any issues that stand out re: safety?

Murder at West End DART station a week ago.
Stabbing at West End DART station a couple of years ago.
It's Urban environment. Inside your comfy condo or apt you're probably good.
Get out on the street and interact with society it can be hit or miss. Hopefully miss.

Victory Park is extremely safe, the nearest iffy neighborhood is West End, but you will honestly be fine walking through there even at night. Victory Park and West End are very city center, so they really arent dangerous to your average person. West End is only dangerous if you are looking for trouble or hanging around homeless people. But yeah, Victory Park specifically is a really really safe and upscale neighborhood.

If you’re not aware that the West End and Victory Park are two completely different neighborhoods separated by a FREEWAY, please do not comment on threads like this.

OP, Victory Park is quite safe for an in-town neighborhood. A friend lived at the apartments right across from the AAC for like 5 year with zero safety problems (single female). Several friends have rented at the W over the years while building / remodeling. Zero problems. You’re good there! Equal or slightly more safe than Uptown itself.

Only safety tip is not to walk that first stretch of the Katy Trail from the AAC alone or at dusk/dark. There have been some incidents there over the years.

Great feedback. A few apartments that are near the trail and by the AAC are desirable, however the only question was safety overall.
