oh come now, let's not play semantics here my friend. We all know which demographic is being spoken of here. But I'll be helpful and cross out some for you. It's not people from Iceland, Luxembourg, Peru or Swaziland she's talking about.

McKinney: 75% white, 12% black, 8% Asian

Little Elm: 65% white, 18% black, 6% Asian

The Colony: 76% white, 9% black, 5% Asian

Lewisville: 65% white, 13% black, 10% Asian

Whites outnumber Asians in every single northern burb by a factor of 3X - 25X.
How old are these stats? Not saying they are fake, just surprising. My brother in law lives in Frisco so I'm up there quite a bit. 20% seems REALLY low for Frisco and even Plano. There are other pockets of Collin County with a heavy Indian presence. Murphy has to be 30-40% Indian. North Carrolton/Castle Hills same deal. Parts of Allen too. And I'll bet that Prosper number will at least double as that town gets built out.

I suspect many 1st Generation immigrants bring this with them. One reason there are places like Chinatown, Jewish and Irish communities in NYC or even in Dallas.

But I've worked with a lot of 2nd Gen young adults that grew up here and they are very Americanized. There just has been a lot of 1st Gen immigration. I think it will just take time for the new Generations to replace the older.

Look, I don't have a problem with people not liking certain demographics or ethnic groups or whatever, that's their business. I do have a problem when people aren't willing to say so openly and notoriously.

And yes, I do know what group they're talking about. There's a fairly large number of that group in my area, and most of them are pretty nice and mind their own business.

2019 ACS stats. I found something more recent on the city of Frisco page:
61% white
26% Asian
8% black
5% other/multi

Still….that’s 2.3 white people for every 1 Asian. I know some specific neighborhoods are more Indian than others but I’m also in Frisco every week for work and although Frisco is diverse, I still see more white people than all other races combined.

Murphy IS a lot more diverse than either Frisco or Plano - it’s only about 50% white, 36% Asian and has a much bigger black population than many other northern burbs.

Those inquiries here are very common.

Same difference. Everyone seeks their tribe for comfort.
White isn't a tribe.

And Murphy is diverse down to streets. There are no "Indian" or "Black" or "Hispanic" pockets. Each street has a variety of cultures, and ethnicities. And actually quite a lot of interaction. Not the wave and barely know your neighbors. We had Emerald City as our final summer concert and I commented on how there were all ages (even teens!) and all facets of our community there.

It's sad because the OP would probably actually be able to give her kid a great life here - very much of the "community" feel of her typical American childhood. Except we actually embrace Diwali lights on folks' homes as much as we do Christmas lights.

Yep. If you had said "Scots-Irish" or "German" you'd get yourself similar tribes. Because "Black" is also African descent.
