It’s funny that people still think the suburbs are “white”. The whitest places are the places that cost the most per square foot- the suburbs exist to bring down the cost per square foot.

One thing I’ve been wondering for a while- if Frisco is so Indian why are their athletic teams still mostly white?

Every Indian that I know which is a lot from work( current and past), live in Frisco and in or near Las Colinas, but yes more whites as of today in Frisco. I live in the only nice area of Garland and they are starting to flood in. Any house that sells its someone from India that bought it and the whole family including including all relatives move in.

I’d invite you to take a walk in Hollywood Heights, Little Forest Hills, Devinshire, or White Rock Hills and tell me how it compares to Collin County or even Southlake.

Dallas ISD schools are not the only schools in Dallas. The top private schools in the area are mostly in Dallas and they are primarily white.

All the racists are out in full force in this thread, no holds barred

It feels like Indians are the new Jews - An affluent, well-educated and confident tribe that don't see any need to suck up to the majority. For many privileged elites, this is the same as being aloof or standoffish or downright "anti-american". People are bandying about a single example as to why the whole tribe is bad. Pardon me - but your insecurity is showing.

Back to the OP's unreal expectations about Dallas :

It never ceases to amaze me that people make an important life decision and move to a major metropolis - and then act shocked if it isn't exactly like the little town they left behind. If the OP knew to post in this forum now - in shock at encountering diversity - couldn't they have posted a few months ago to ask what to expect ? Or maybe the OP looked at demographics, saw that (say) Frisco was 60% white and 40% asian and decided that all the white people live in desirable homes and everyone else lives in the ghetto ? Isn't that where minorities should live ? How dare they buy new homes in good school districts and choose to not celebrate Christmas

Not always on the same page as Rakin but he hit the nail on the head.
This is exactly my experience as well. We live in an older neighborhood in Plano and our neighborhood is a mix of may tribes including Indians - many of whom made the choice to buy an older home to avoid ethnic enclaves.

Its just the new subdivisions...

OP, even 10 yr old neighborhoods in Frisco - which is not really old by any means - will likely get u what u r looking for. That being said - I personally think ur request is very fair. Everyone has a right to live in a place that they truly feel at home in. It's actually that same desire that fuels the Indian ethnic enclaves u are trying to avoid. Sometimes a little distance is not a bad thing.
