It's pretty much like any other city it's size. There are great areas and not so great areas. The good thing is it that it sits right in the middle of the Dallas/Ft Worth area. The negatives is that it houses the Texas Rangers and the New Dallas Cowboys staduims (traffic) and its the largest city in nation without a mass transit system.

The central part is old, not cool or charming old like oak cliff or central Dallas, but just old run down strip malls. This is not all of Arlington. But much of it in between 20 and 30 west of 360 and east of center.

I can't stand Arlington. It's like the armpit of North Texas. There's just not a lot going on there, besides ridiculous stadiums being built, strip malls, chain restaurants and Six Flags.

You may get more feedback if you post in the Fort Worth forum. Arlington is in Tarrant county.
