How are the schools (middle & high schools) compare between these 3 suburbs? Or say ranking them from high to lowest. I've checked Niche.com, it seems like niche is giving everything an "A" pretty much. I saw redfin rating is ranging from 3-6. Then from Greatschools is around 6.

Don’t have any data to back it up (although I’m sure I could find some if I dug around for a bit), but off of reputation, Richardson wins hands down. I wouldn’t have much of a problem with my kids going to Richardson but would never consider the other two.

Flower Mound schools are excellent - some of the top tier public high schools in DFW - and they are part of LISD. Hebron is also pretty strong. CFBISD definitely the weakest of the three.

OP, it’s really difficult to compare these huge districts. I mean are you comparing Newman Smith HS with JJ Pearce or Berkner vs Flower Mound HS or Lake Highlands vs Hebron? You’re asking us to rank districts that cover a tremendous amount of land space and have extremely diverse and divergent student bodies.

Didn’t realize that Flower Mound was part of Lewisville ISD. My fault.

Isn’t this crazy?!

Lewisville ISD is a 127-square mile school district based in Lewisville, Texas covering all of Lewisville, The Colony, Highland Village, Copper Canyon, and Double Oak as well as portions of Flower Mound, Plano, Carrollton, Frisco, Hebron, Coppell, Grapevine and Argyle

I had no idea it was that big. I thought the colony, Flower Mound, Grapevine etc were all independent districts.

In that case, I’ll revise my previous statement. The Flower Mound and Grapevine schools are a great choice, and Hebron is solid as well, though I would steer clear of the Lewisville schools in LISD.

When I was a kid in the 80's, RISD was king. Some of Lewisville can be sketchy so that might give you a idea of how the schools are.

Yes you have to compare school to school. All districts have really good and some not so good.

FM used to be nothing but a podunk small town much like Lewisville. Years ago they joined districts much like Hebron was a small town that also combined.

It was not 35-40 years ago that cities like Coppell, Grapevine and all the ones you list were just small rural cities. Many joined each other to make a joint school district.

Back then schools like Irving MacArthur and Arlington Lamar were the big schools where the "Rich Kids" went.

Time, housing and demographics have changed.

Or another way to ask this is: Which school you wouldn't put your kids there? Yes FM is good but I think we're a bit priced out from the better suburbs, thus want to see of any of these 3 would be a concern.
