But, back to this post:

1. Where did I lead the OP wrong? He said they are not religious and all three of PCA, LCA, & TCA require a signed statement of faith & letter from pastor to apply. That is a fact and not disparaging these schools.

2. By the metrics used to evaluate any school for strength of academics (SAT, AP pass rates & participation, & college acceptances / matriculation), those three schools do not stack up well against the top private schools in DFW. They post SAT scores hundreds of points below the top academic schools, including 100+ point variance between the premier Catholic and Episcoal high schools . As you said, where a family chooses to educate their children is based on what’s right for that family - it’s not ridiculing them to say that families self-selecting these schools put a priority on Bible-based classroom, not the classic academic classroom.

There is a reason why so many families drive from Frisco, Plano, McKinney, etc into Dallas to attend Greenhill, ESD, St Marks, Jesuit, Hockaday, Ursuline, Parish, etc - there are no comprable private schools in Collin County.
From what I’ve observed TCA doesn’t belong in the same academic category as PCA. It’s very religious, hence why I didn’t recommend it to OP, but it’s pretty in-line with the other privates academically IMO. In fact, I know some who went with TCA over Parish

TCA is a step above, for sure. I would put it on par with Jesuit, Ursuline & Parish based on stats.

I know families leaving ESD & Parish for TCA but they’re leaving because those schools aren’t conservative / Christian enough, not for academic reasons.

I’m shocked that ESD is considered not conservative enough by some. The families I know from ESD are uniformly very conservative — perhaps the admin. isn’t.
