Don’t respond to the dog whistles - these are the same people with the “back the blue” sticker on their back window while they blow through in the left lane on DNT at 90 MPH and rant about hyper-ethnic neighborhoods around them.
How is defund the police a dog whistle? It was used as a slogan amongst many progressives and is widely unpopular amongst everyone else when implemented as a policy.

Irregardless of police funding, there's just no incentive to deal with this issue. The people we're talking about (yes, they're people too) do not have the ability to pay citations, or, if they get arrested for a warrant for not paying a citation, do they have bail money. Them sitting in jail costs the taxpayers $$$. Prosecuting them costs $$$.

Oklahoma is a state of haters. People in Oklahoma City hate Tulsa. People in Tulsa hate Oklahoma City. OU Sooner fans hate the OSU Cowboys. OSU Cowboy fans hate OU Sooners. The one thing they all have in common is they all hate Texas and Texans.

Don't bag too hard on Oklahoma. If Oklahoma didn't suck, Texas might fall into the gulf.

That's not true.

I'll let you in on something you're probably not aware of -- OU fans and UT Austin fans are present in roughly equal numbers in the DFW metroplex area. Hell in some areas there are MORE OU fans than UT fans.

I feel bad for Oklahoma. Their sin is that they never diversified their economy and are completely beholden to gas/oil. Texas used to be that way 40 years ago but now the economy here is so large/diversified that it doesn't really hurt Texas that much if oil prices tank.

True, but its important to note that this is not a blanket statement for the state. Houston and West Texas would beg to differ with you on that one. Oil tanking would cause major pain in those areas. DFW and Austin, not so much.
