Just to be clear - those properties are ~700k, so yes, less expensive, but unattainable for many. The subdivision in the area you mention in the 500k price point ceased being that cheap about 5 years ago.

The only properties in the city 500K and under in this day and age are going to be one of the few mobile homes or one of the few original 1-story ranch style, and even then, you’d have to basically be OK paying that much to live in a total trap house dump.

As someone else mentioned, the better bet is the sliver of surrounding cities feeding to CISD, which the buyer should work with their realtor and the school district to validate versus relying on a forum like this.

I’d suggest looking at Argyle ISD if you want the same “feel” in the schools at a lower price point - but it’s a lot of bubba type people , so make sure you want that
