My husband and I are new to the Dallas area and he is having a difficult time finding a barber. He is black and is looking for someone that can cut a "good fade". We live in the Las Colinas area of Irving...

Any suggestions?

I'm sure you can find many black barbers in South Dallas or the southern suburbs of Dallas.

Best advice I can give his to ask someone in your complex where they get their haircut. I can't help you because I have been cutting my own for the last 26 years.

There was a barber shop located in a suite of salons at Preston/Alpha named Ebony 4U. They changed the name and ownership last year but i dont think the barber shop closed. They had about 4 barbers who catered to black male clients. Its behind Valley View Mall beside a car repair place.
Also ClassAct on Skillman@635 in Dallas. The area is questionable but my husband went there for years when we lived in North Dallas. Class Act Hair Salon
My brother used to go to Dallas Barber and Stylist School for those $5 haircuts. He hated the wait and you usually didnt get the same barber/student. They moved to Forest Lane area but used to be on Park Lane.
