We need to change all of our kitchen appliances, which store would you recommend to measure, sell, deliver and install? NFM or Home Depot or is there something better out there?

It really depends on what you want. If you’re just looking for normal applicances, Home Depot is fine. NFM will have higher-end appliances. There’s no need to have the store come out and measure since you can do that yourself with a tape measure.

Are you looking for cheap run of the mill to have something in the kitchen or are you looking for actual functionality?HD/Lowes have plenty of low priced package deals. There are plenty of contractor sales places in DFW. Call around. Know your budget. Do not expect to play the discount game. Measurements are standardized. Check your floor covering under current appliances.

Measurements are somewhat standardized across most levels of appliances. However, door swing geometry for an example is not. Lots of refrigerators are set adjacent to door/walkway openings......door swings matter a lot in those situations.

Further, if someone is not familiar with or capable of measuring to an 1/8 or better having a pro measure makes sense to me.

Thanks! Why buy GE from Goldstar and not big chain stores? Wouldn't same appliances cost more there?

What's your budget and what exactly you need to buy? What features you would like to have?
Same appliances don't cost same everywhere. That's why we shop around...

It makes sense to shop around if prices aren't standard.
