Jeff Wimpy of Remax is fantastic.

I found him via the web doing research on Mckinney and Frisco.

(broken link)

He knows alot about the area and can steer you in the right direction.

Great guy as well.

Are you related/associated with him in any way whatsoever?

No. I was a total outsider from CA and found him on the web.

I believe it was this article on Frisco:

(broken link)

I found through Google, then called him.....

I have put him through hell because I have been all over the DFW area in/out of homes. He's never complained nor has he ever been pushy.

I just closed on a house in Grand Prairie and used Jenni Mardis from Zip Realty. This is my second home I have bought through a Zip agent and was so happy with the service.

You will also recieve a 20% rebate from the agents 3%. I got a check for around 2000.00 both times. It is a great incentive for buyer.

Jenni's email is her cell number is 214-240-6647

I highly recommend her.

We used Pam Smith (972-283-7576) with Ebby Halliday ( (broken link). We've used her to buy two homes in the area. The first was out in the country south of Dallas. The second was in Plano, where we put her through the ringer. During the course of buying this last home my wife and Pam viewed 55 homes in the northern suburbs. We were pretty picky and were looking for several must have but a bit eclectic features. Pam worked with us to improve the selection criteria and never complained.

Do you have a specific area you're looking in? The Dallas /Fort Worth Metro area is huge, so most realtors focus their business on specific counties, or areas. When you say you're relocating to Dallas, do you mean Dallas proper, or are you looking all over the D/FW area?

If you're looking in Tarrant county, or southern Denton county...Chuck Mohon with KMM Realty is great. He helped us buy our house, and was a pleasure to deal with:

I'm looking for someone to help me initially with home rentals in the Frisco and McKinney area - does anyone have any recommendation for a realtor that does both (rentals and buying/selling)?

Thanks!

Home rentals....stay away. No more investors needed. Investors have ruined parts of Frisco like Grayhawk and far East Frisco - appreciation in these investor owned areas is stagnant, while the upscale areas that don't pencil out remain high cost per sq/ft. You drive through there now in the lower end spots and 'Lease to Buy' signs are everywhere. Most are from CA, but many are from the East Coast. I see now why TX has such strict laws in place to discourage this activity.

However, if you need someone to help you, Jeff Wimpy who I mentioned has helped alot of other investors in both McKinney and Frisco. These are the areas where he specializes.

If a Realtor tells you they know the entire DFW area and can represent you, laugh at them. It's simply not realistic.

Huh? I am looking to rent a house before I buy a house.... lots of people on this board keep recommending to rent first, find the right area for yourself, then buy. I would like to rent a house (3/2 or larger) for a year, then buy!

Thanks!
