Yee-haw!

BTW: I'm not for gun control (various reasons) but I genuinely don't understand the significance of "concealed". Why is it so important to hide the weapon?

There are literally millions of immigrants from third world countries. Show me proof that they are more likely to commit a crime than a born citizen or an immigrant from developed country.

So that the public does not "freak" over someone carring a gun. It's more discrete & low key.

So it's a shame thing like putting your alcoholic beverage container in a brown bag.

The theory is that a criminal shouldn't know if there is a gun or not. If we had open carry a potential assailant could quickly look over the people at a given location and see no one is armed with concealed carry, he doesn't know if anyone is armed.

But that assumes that everybody has to show their weapon. IMO visibility should be treated like any other item (+safety of course). Put it in your pocket or put it on a clip or whatever.

Macbeth is correct. I'm not a law enforcement officer nor am I trying to be a hero. I only want a criminal to know I have a gun when I shoot him. I do not want to be in a bank/store wherever and stumble into a robbery or similar situation and become a target when otherwise I can escape the situation without having to use force.

Open carry can spook the feint of heart. Best to leave the exposed fire arms to law enforcement.

How about the 30 million here that broke the law by coming here illegally. There's your start Ms. ACLU. I live in New York and it happens here all the time. 90% of the crimes I see in papers it is always some foreign name. Names that weren't as common 40 years ago when this country was a safer and more united place.

For your so called "proof" do your own research. I am not going to do it for because you're too lazy or ignorant to what is going on.

I can see that. But still that this is so regulated is kinda silly, IMO. And in the case of that random car shooter, it would have probably deterred him had he seen that his victims had guns (because he is probably a real coward).
