I am considering to take a job offer from a company in downtown. The zip code is 75207. How much does a 2 bedroom condo (within zip code of 75207) in downtown cost? Is it safe to live there?

Zip code 75207 appears to be west of I-35 and north of I-30. It looks like the main streets going through it are Industrial Blvd. and Irving Blvd. I can't think of any condos in that area, but there is new apartment construction in the Design District. If you are looking for condos near that zip, you could find those in the Victory Park development (75219). A 2/2 at the Terrace Condos at 2323 N. Houston would start at about $375k. At the House or the W, they would start at about twice that amount and go as high as you want to go. In downtown proper (75201 or 75202), the Metropolitan should have 2BR's around $300k. Across the river in N. Oak Cliff (75208), there are older condos such as Kessler Highlands priced in the mid-$200's. The Lake Cliff Tower on Colorado would have 2/2's in the $300's. New townhomes on E. Greenbriar bordering the Trinity River would be mid-$300's. You might also check Uptown (75204) and Oak Lawn (75219). Zip 75207 will be undergoing a lot of redevelopment in the near future spurred on by the Trinity River project. However, it is mostly warehouse and industrial right now.

Exclamation Avoid The Metropolitan Dallas on Main Street

A word to the wise, avoid The Metropolitan Dallas building if you enjoy sleep. Don't let real estate agents, property managers, nor individual owners try to convince you there isn't a noise problem coming from the open air rooftop Ivy Club. Their interest is revenue / sales and they don't live here.

Please see this post and this post for more details.

The Metropolitan Dallas building is at 1200 Main Street. The Ivy Club is at 1217 Main Street. Here's a satellite image to show you how close the outdoor music is to you at 2 a.m.

Default Downtown Condo

Living in downtown Dallas is going to be pricey Everything is location and you will pay to have the skyline out your back window
A 900/sf one bedroom condo would run approx: $160,000 and up
