A friend of mine is moving into a Tuscan-style or Mediterranean-style home later this month and looking for living and dining room furniture.

Robb and Stucky's furniture has the style and heavy look my friend wants, but, their prices are way too high.

Does anyone have any recommendations for Tuscan or Mediterranean style furniture of high quality but not at Robb and Stucky type prices?

Thanks for any recommendations!

There is a place in that Gardenridge Mall on Spring Creek (off 75) in Plano that sells "heavy" furniture like that. Not sure of the prices, but pretty sure they'd be notably cheaper than R & S.

You might take a look at Anderson's - Anderson's Furniture, Fall In Love... With Your Home

Weirs has very good furniture in all sorts of styles for reasonable prices. They have several locations Weir's Furniture - Beautiful home on a budget

I've also had a lot of luck finding nice things at reasonable prices at Haverty's.

Another option but does tend to be more "southwest" sometimes is The Arrangement.

I LOVE Weir's. They are my all time FAVORITE furniture store.

Hemisphere's is about on par w/ Anderson's but has more knick-knacks, outdoor furniture, lamps, mirrors, etc. I LOVE Hemisphere's as well. FYI, they are closed on Sunday's and they ALWAYS have great sales (like 50% off or buy one get one - don't buy unless it is on sale is the usual motto w/ Hemisphere's ).

Default Thanks for suggestions

Thank you for the suggestions thus far!

We have visited Weir's and both my friend and I love their furniture, but a lot of it is more American or traditional style even though much of their furniture is "heavy." I bought my TV cabinet at Weir's and have loved it. Great piece of furniture.

We will definitely be checking out the other suggestions.

Thank you and any other suggestions will be much appreciated!

Go to Weir's and take the elevator to the second floor for great deals! That's the one on Preston in Plano. Our whole house is furnished from Weir's.

If your friend wants to stay within the Tuscan/Mediterranean theme, she should check out Moroccan furniture & home decor, lamps & lanterns. You will only get one of a kind piece from here, the quality is superior too and a sure conversation piece. They have free shipping on a lot of items. Many of their lanterns are a must for a Tuscan decor.

If not, it's worth perusing through...
