Hello,
I've been checking a web site called ZipRealty.com and I noticed a few very nice looking houses built in the last 2 or 3 years in the Joe Pool Lake area (mira lagos) for what seems to be very cheap at around $55ish a square foot. For example a couple of houses run about $219,000 and are just under 4,000 square feet. This might be actually a little to big for just myself but do you think this is the bargain it appears to be or is this a questionable area to live in? The houses look very nice with soaring ceilings, lofts and grand stairways yet I see homes up in Euless area going for much per square on smaller lots and certainly not as nice looking. I would appreciate your thoughts good or bad and have a good day!

Mike

Mira Lagos has a VERY strict HOA. (Former coworkers lived there and griped a lot about the HOA!) It's also a long way out of town, although there is starting to be more retail and restaurants out that way. If you have to drive in to Dallas or FW for work, you'll have a commute with lots of traffic. There are also lots of foreclosures in the Mansfield area. Schools are OK.
