I am meeting a breeder who is driving in from North Carolina. She is bringing our English Golden Retriever puppy. Another family from Houston is meeting as well because she also has their puppy. It is too hot to ship them in an airplane.
Both will be coming in via the I-30. Can anyone recommmend a good meeting spot where we might be able to let the puppies go potty and walk around a bit before putting them in our cars?
Thanks so much!!

Find a Cracker Barrel. They seem to have large back parking lots and large grassy areas away from all of the highway and frontage road traffic. You don't want them running off right into traffic on a major highway so finding somewhere that the grassy area is located behind a building or such so that all of the noise does not spook them would be best.

There is a park right off of I-30 in the Rowlett area. The park is Elgin B. Robertson and you take the Dalrock exit (the park area I'm thinking of is south of I-30). There you can be far enough away from the highway so that the pups can romp in peace.

I agree with Kittyfish. Elgin Robertson park would be perfect. There are pinic benches and plenty of mature trees to block the sun. If your lucky you will get a cool breeze coming off the lake. The park is located on I30 between Rockwall and Garland and it's on the lake.
