>> You can head down to Allen to Mimi's Cafe and Two Rows. Two Rows is a notch above Chilis and much better. Mimi's has brunch, soups, sandwiches, muffins, breads, some entrees, etc. <<

We have a Mimi's here! Nice place, I had to host a welcome brunch and that was the perfect place to do it. Have never heard of Two Rows. Dallas has so many restaurants I haven't even heard of, and shopping areas. I think you all like to eat & shop! (sounds good to me :-)

I love the Mimi's in Allen, we also patronize the Dickey's in Allen as well. The Dickey's here is not good at all. I know so many people who have complained as well about it. The Two Rows in Allen isn't good imo though I have heard from my husband that the location over in Dallas in much better. Same with Snuffers and El Fenix here.
The Mckinney location of Snuffers is not the best, just the cheese fries are good however there Greenville Av location is good and most people who love El Fenix would rather go to their Plano location than the one in Mckinney. Hey even in chains, food consistancy varies.

Oh I forgot some coffee houses here. Cuppy's just opened up off of 75 between white and 380. They have a drive through and the coffee is very good. I also like La Misha's in downtown. They serve Seattle's Best. Very interesting scene down on the square.

Give the Dickeys some time, they just opened and probably have yet to iron out the wrinkles. I have not been to Mimi's in awhile. Went to Two Rows recently (we are getting one in Garland ) and it was good, they would put Chili's to shame.

LOL!!! Totally understand about the chains having different appeal. The ONLY El Fenix I go to is the one in downtown Dallas. Hey, when ya still have part of the original family working there it has to be good.

Snuffers, I have yet to visit the one in McKinney. Tried the one in Rockwall a few times but nothing beats the atmosphere of the original.

Try Luna de Noche in Plano on 75, it is south of Spring Creek on the southbound service road. YUM!!! Not your average tex-mex.
