Amazon reminds me of real estate developers in this respect. Amazon was part of the decline in brick and mortar. Once it captured significant market share, it can now have brick and mortar and all of a sudden its the next big thing.

Real Estate developers/ cities can let areas decline to where the prices are in the ground, then buy it up, rebrand it, and its the next big thing. *insert oak cliff, west dallas, freedmans town etc*

Let have Amazon.
