Anyone have kids in Dodd Elementary (Wylie ISD)? Anyone in Seis Lagos (on Wylie side)? (Allen: low income)

We want to build a custom home and are totally in love with the Seis Lagos community. We have looked all over and there is nothing like it, in terms of the kind of neighborhood it is.
The only concern we have is that all the lots that are available are in Wylie ISD and everyone tells us that we really want to be in Lovejoy if we have little ones.
We were wondering if anyone has personal experience with the Dodd elementary school or Wylie ISD in general that can give us some insight, especially if you can compare with another school district. Should it be a no-go for us if we want a good school? In what ways are Lovejoy/Allen better than this one?

Our daughter is in Wylie ISD... and we have no major complaints. Are there any special needs that should be considered? Gifted, music, art, add/hd, etc?

Lovejoy's going to be rated higher... but it's void of most minorities. Wylie is much more diverse and still rated pretty high. Personally, I like my daughter being in classes with kids from various backgrounds and various origins.

We have no idea whether any special needs have to be considered since we don't have school age children quite yet, (very young family here), but obviously that will become a concern in a few more years. We would want to build a house that we don't need to sell in a few years because of a need to change school districts. I don't know much about the school system here, since I'm not originally from the US, but I do of course want the best possible education for kids and am just trying to figure it all out ....

The Lovejoy district would probably be considered better than Wylie. Fewer low income in Lovejoy and the fewer the low income, the higher the test scores.

Allen has it's own district by the way, called Allen ISD. In the past Lovejoy didn't have a high school and the Lovejoy kids went to Allen High school after attending Lovejoy schools K-8, but now Lovejoy has their own high school.

We do have some friends whose daughter went to Dodd and had a good experience. They moved to a home next to Seis Lagos (can't think of the subdivision), to attend Lovejoy - primarily for the reasons mentioned earlier -- great test scores (exemplary rated), lower student to teacher ratios and rigorous academics (pre AP / AP) rated classes.
