If you work in Irving, why not live there, especially the nicest part is Las Colinas? Depending on price range of homes, you can find anything from an urban feel (condos on Lake Carolyn) to suburban young family in gated, safe University Park. University Park has a fabulous lake with ducks and turtles that the kids will love, and there are parks with well-maintained play equipment at Mustang Park and Cimarron Park. Neighbors in University Park are very nice, as well. Las Colinas is very convenient to everything -shopping, dining, entertainment. It is one of the best planned communities in the world where it doesn't appeared overtly planned. Coppell is nearby, but has much less of an urban feel, but more of a suburban PTA feel. Las Colinas has a mix of everything.
