Is this the most colorful fall ever in Dallas or is it me?

I've been noticing that the route I take to work up through north Grand Prairie is more colorful and prettier than usual. I know it depends on what kind of weather and when as to how many colors there'll be but maybe we got it right this year.

I just moved back from east Tennessee and was expecting to be dissappointed, but have to say this has been a great fall, very beautiful. I think October being fairly cool was a big help, but I'm definitely enjoying the colors.

I was just thinking it was not as pretty as last year. We are in Mckinney and last year I remember seeing people (on several different mornings) taking pictures of these amazing yellow/redish trees and this year they are more yellow/brown and dull. Also, our yard trees (ok saplings--I live in Mckinney!) are still really green. Sigh~

If you have a few hours this weekend head east on Hwy. 80 out of Dallas drive to Mineola and have lunch.....some of the most beautiful color I've seen in years. You could also come 380 to Greenville and head south down Hwy 69. Everyone in Tyler is talking about the color.......unbelieveable!
