Collin County

includes Allen, Frisco, McKinney, Plano, Richardson, and Wylie

all of these areas are within a 25-45 minute drive to Dallas and there are nice neighborhoods there with great schools.

Collin County, Texas - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Its the 23rd richest county in the country and the richest county in Texas.

I hope this helps some of you looking for a great place to live in the DFW area.

Hey, boy genius, the vast majority of Richardson is in Dallas County.

Thanks for all of your interesting posts today, I needed a chuckle or six.

Keep in mind that what you think is the best isn't for everyone. Some folks would argue that Fort Worth is better. Some folks would say they would never live outside the 635 loop. Some folks swear by the Park Cities. I'm willing to bet there is someone on this very board that loves Lakewood.

So "helping" people by posting a generic post that has no real useful data is basically a waste.

NO, your giving them YOUR opinions based on a very short term of living here. Two years hardly qualifies as being extremely knowledgable about the entire DFW area .

Oh, yep, jeffari already pointed out that Richardson is in Dallas County. I'll also let people know that they CAN NOT BE in Downtown Dallas in 25 minutes from Frisco, McKinney or Wylie and some parts of Plano.

NAH, say it ain't so. I mean I like going to Matt's and all but never in a million years would I dream that ANYONE "loves Lakewood". Say it aint' so

Don't ya just love these posts. Was this the same person that started some threads awhile back about THEIR OPINIONS of "the best" and "only" places to live in the Dallas area? If not, then maybe they need to get together.

You can be in Dallas within 25-45 minutes from all those areas.

And Richardson is in Dallas county AND Collin county.

And I shoudl have adjusted the title to say the best place for families to live.

If anyone gets to Downtown Dallas from Wylie, Frisco or McKinney in 25 minutes they are FLYING!!!! Well above the speed limit too. In rush hour your looking at min. of an hour. Geez, even in NON rush hour traffic to get home after a hockey game at the AAC to my place in Garland in the Firewheel area takes 25 minutes and that IS going over the speed limit (hubby has a heavy foot).

MOST of Richardson is IN Dallas County. Only the portion that cuts across the very northern portion of the city of Richardson is IN Collin County.

What I meant that in Plano (the closest area in collin County) you can get to Dallas in 25 minutes

And from Wylie (the farthest area from Dallas) you can make it in 45 minutes.

Notice the 45.

That is not what you said. Read your first post. And then your third post where you said it again, "You can be in Dallas within 25-45 minutes from all those areas. "

You said "ALL" of those you can be IN Dallas. People that have never been to Dallas may not know that Wylie is further from Dallas than Plano. What you said here (as well as your other posts) are VERY misleading.
