Just wondering what everyone thinks. My vote would have to be twisted root burgers or kellers drive in.

I like Coach's Burgers in Lake Highlands (best sweet potato fries) and Angry Dog in Deep Ellum.

I've heard good things of Twisted Root - haven't been there yet. So many restaurants, so little time.

Angry Dog, absolutely. Mrs. Shaft and I did some scientific experiments on this - however, it was 3-4 years ago so things may have changed. There are some other mighty fine burgers in Dallas but this is definitely my favorite.

Over on the Ft Worth side, Kincaid's gets high marks. I'll be eating there in December and I'm already looking forward to it.

Is Angry Dog the place w/the American flag painted on the side of the building? We walked around deep ellum on Sunday and I noticed the place was busy but didn't look to see the name of the place. We loved the flag mural though (great for picture taking opportunities!) I must go back and try a burger if so.

Ahhhh, the best burger in Dallas is Winfield's. Take the same exit as Dallas Zoo, off I-35, head east to next major intersection and go south. Old building on the right side. Phone in order before going or you'll wait for over an hour to get yours. And, ToGo only, no place to sit. Lunches only, closed on Sunday.

OH, and don't go alone.
