I am very young and recently married. My husband and I have spent the last month visiting a different church each Sunday and always feeling akwardly young - does anyone have a suggestion for a Dallas church with a good young adults ministry? A young couples sunday school class? something?

Can you be a little more specific about what area of Dallas you're in?

I think too you should tell us what faith you are. That can help alot. There are so many denominations, out there and wouldn't want to give you a church name if it isn't what you are looking for.

Default More specifically

We live at the corner of Mockingbird and 75 in the Lofts. We are both protestant (I was raised Methodist while he was raised Baptist). We are not necessarily tied to those denominations however. We would try bible churches, non-denominational, presbyterian, baptist, methodist, etc.

Unfortunately, I can't help you. I'm Catholic and located south of the Metroplex. But hopefully someone else here can offer you some options.

North Dallas Bible Fellowship
Lovers Lane United Methodist Church
Park Cities Baptist Church
Fellowship Bible

These are the closest for you then out a little farther but all on 75/Central are:
First Baptist Richardson (there is a First Baptist in EVERY city/town)
Heights Baptist Church

That is all I can think of off the top of my head that is somewhat convienent for you and would have a large young marrieds group and SS classes/activities.

Default Church for young adults?

Hi! I also just moved to North Dallas...I live off the Spring Valley exit. My friend and I are wondering if there are any churches in the area that are, well, I don't know how to say it, but more catered towards younger people? We want to find a church that can keep us motivated and interested...so if you have any ideas, please let us know! Thanks!

North Dallas Bible Fellowship
Lovers Lane United Methodist Church
Park Cities Baptist Church
Fellowship Bible
Prestonwood Baptist Church
The Heights Baptist Church
Lakepointe Church (several locations w/ the main one being in Rockwall on I30 and then one in Mesquite near Town East Mall)

All of these have large groups of young people, singles, etc w/ lots of activities. Then they do provide great young married classes and plenty for all ages of lil ones so that if you do go there you can stay and grow in the church. That's something I like, a church that can accomodate all ages.

Trietsch Memorial Methodist Church in Flower Mound might be worth a visit too. It's about a 30 minute drive northwest of the Spring Valley area of Dallas.

Their website:

http://www.tmumc.org/

Lived in Addison, Lewisville, & Flower Mound areas 16+ years. Visited a lot of denominations in that time, and became member of a few along the way. Trietsch remains my favorite Church home of my TX years.

Just my 2 cents worth ~ Wherever you choose, God will bless you.
