Thanks ricwil, we are planning to drive around that neck of the woods next and check out Hill County as well. Itasca sounds pretty good, they were Exemplary rated several years in a row. I know it's rare for a HS to get that rating. Lucas Lovejoy, Lindsay, and Highland Park are the others I've heard that got that rating at the HS level.

I know not about the whole Cleburne debate, just quoting what I've read! Thanks for the input!

Good luck on Itasca or where ever you decide It seems like a decent town to me. I work in Cleburne so just happen to know some folks there.

The OP mentioned Bosque County, and I concurred that it was a good choice. I thought she said,"Bye bye, North Dallas." I must be tired, but I don't read anywhere where it said she wants to be near North Dallas, just the grandparents and living about an hour from them. Bosque County would be a tad over an hour from Arlington and more than that from Coppell. That isn't an every day trip though. I got the impression the OP wanted to get away from the city nonsense, hence leaving the North Dallas office. Yippee, no need for a helicopter.

Obviously you didn't read the OP's post thoroughly or you would have seen the part where she said, "Commuting to north Dallas will likely be a reality in my husband's future."

Sorry for the confusion, I did say bye North Dallas, but we just don't know if my husband will need to commute, so just to be safe we want to be within an hour.

Sigh.... I do want to leave the nonsense, just trying to be realistic. I'm another mom that wants the best of all worlds I guess.

The difference is I want to be AWAY from the booming areas. Been there, done that. Poor hubby might still have to fight traffic though!

Obviously I didn't. As I said, I'm probably tired, been tending to my daughter who had emergency surgery Friday night and have gotten very little sleep. Of course, that's no reason to be oblivious in reading someone's post. But as she said, hubby may need to commute and remember, she does have Bosque County in her sights. Priority is truly what's best for the entire family.

Actually, the OP said that anything in Bosque County is unrealistic and they are probably not going to be able to move there(for obvious reasons).

I am very sorry to hear about your daughter and her emergency surgery. I have been there and done that as a parent, so I know what you are going through with that. Your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

I guess I missed what you said she said after what I read in post #1 which is as follows:

Currently my top picks are Paradise, Forestburg, Muenster, Lindsay, Savoy, Grand Saline, or pretty much any Bosque County district.

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.
