I'm moving to Dallas next month and want to find a good church. I'm looking for something with contemporary worship, a decently large congregation, and a young adult group -- or tailored toward younger individuals.

I'm 24 and single, and was involved in a church back in LA that has a post-college group. I'm looking for something similar. Any ideas?

I've been to Fellowship Church in Grapevine, only once, and looks like that might be your kind of place too. It is a big church and very young, fun and high energy (or else I won't be contemplating trying it out again, since I'm not really a "church goer").

Don't know what neck of the woods you will settle, but if you end up in Collin County, I recommend a fast growing church, Lighthouse Christian Fellowship. Prosper address but right about the point where Propser, McKinney and Frisco come together.

A new Friday night service just started for younger adults, the 18 - 30 age group. It is called "The Grounds" and had about 60 attend the start up service.

I'll be settling in an apartment in the uptown area. But I wouldn't mind driving 30 minutes or so to get to a good church. I've done more than that in LA cuz of traffic .

There is a Fellowship church downtown on Ross on the edge of the Arts District. Is this affiliated with the Fellowship church in Grapevine?

I suggest Watermark Community Church. I think it will be just what you are looking for.

I have heard that a lot of young people enjoy this church, but it would involve a bit of drive.

You won't find a better one than this. Probably 30 minutes from Uptown but worth it:

Lake Pointe Church - Rockwall, TX

Cathedral of hope is the best, believe me. It is located in uptown.

All the other churches in and around town seem to be the same.
