Life in Texas Dallas (renting, house, purchasing)

Moving to dallas from a "third world" so-to-say am looking for genuine helpful advice on cost of living, security, housing for a-first-timer, good elementary schools for my son, transportation, charismatic churches any advice on any of this or other issues especially in relation to dallas townson street area will be highly appreciated

You need to be more specific. What part of town will you be working in, what is the budget for the house, what kinda of commute are you willing to have. You really need to provide some more information in order to get some solid advice.

I've been informed am been relocated to dallas townson streets area, where exactly is this area in dallas??, will be working in dallas, I will be using my vehicle for commuting but am interested in finding out what public transportation means are available around the townson street area, I would not mind renting budget $850, but am also interested in purchasing a house budget rage of $85K, looking also for a elementary school for my son, any advice, any help please, I've got less than 60days to relocate thanks

I'm not familiar with that street, but I would like to help you. Is that in the City of Dallas or one of the suburbs?

There is no street in Dallas that I saw called Townson. Can you verify spelling or give us another clue?

$85,000 is not much for a house at all especially in an area with good schools. I would stick with renting.

*I* can't find a listing in my (somewhat outdated) Mapsco for any Townson streets in Dallas. There's more than a half dozen Townsend streets tho. Could that be it? They're scattered all around the city and burbs so if you have any more info about the area you're relocating to, or even what it's near, let us know and we can help ya out. Do you have a major intersection or zip code handy??
