No chance. Not without an additional source of revenue (spouse, inheritance, trust fund, etc). Somewhere in the neighborhood 400k per year. That will still put you on the low end.

You don't have to live in HP to teach in HP and I'm assuming most of the teacher's that work there most likely don't live in the Park Cities.

Ha! Make in a year, you won't find a house for 400k.

And it would probably be a 2/1, perhaps 900 sq ft. If there are any of those left.

Just did a quick MLS search. Least expensive was 489K 3/2 2008 sq ft. on Villanova.

Yeah, according to wikipedia...a little less than 400k is the average family income...oh well...If I ever get that well-off I think I'd rather be on the coast by the beach...

I looked that one up and although it's in the UP vicinity, it's not in the HPISD school district. They have some wonky school district lines for those streets.

Well we are getting off topic here ....

ACTUALLY, the HPISD has a house for I believe it is their head maintenance person to live in free in HP.

As for an actual teacher that may be single w/ no trust fund.......... no.
