just saw the Lewisville Job Fair info page and they do not want alt cert people applying/coming there...
I know some people have been asking about alt cert teaching spots
Lewisville is pretty large ISD--many schools--right now they are offering bonus for math and spanish and special ed positions...

I should have phrased that title better--the job fair is not open to people who want/need a teaching spot to EARN their alt-cert completion--

basically the year they teach to earn that certification they are classified as "interns" not certified teachers...

if someone has completed that intern year and EARNED state certification then they register at the job fair--
but not people looking for a job to finish an alt-cert certification...

I don't know if Lewisville will have so few job openings that they don't want any alt cert interns or if they are waiting to see how many certified teachers they have turn in applications in areas like science/math/special needs/foreign language before they have any openings they might have to fill with the "interns" in hard to meet areas like math and science...
