I've read a lot of comments saying that Dallas was way better than Houston. I know its might be subjective an all, but do people in Dallas really look down upon Houston (or is it just the people on the forum)??

We look down on Houston because it's at sea level.

We don't look down at them. It's just friendly sparring. When I lived in Houston I found that wearing a Dallas Cowboy jersey really got there juices flowing.

Dallasites love to bash Houston for its humid climate & pollution as if their city has neither one.

I don't look down on Houston, but I have no desire to ever live there. I spent almost 3 years commuting to Houston for a job and I never acquired a taste for the city. That says nothing about the people of Houston. They are generally very friendly. I just couldn't get over how physically unattractive much (not all) of the city is - the lack of zoning is a major contributor. Nor could I get used to the extreme humidity.

I have only visited Dallas a hand full of times and every time I let folks know that I was from Houston not once did they insult Houston as a matter of fact they usually said good things about our city. On the other hand I did live in Austin recently for 1.5 years and every time I mentioned that I was from Houston they went nuts and said "wow you must be so thankful to be out of Houston and living in heaven on earth Austin"
I was stunned because I did not think Austin was very impressive at all.

I will take Houston over Austin hands down! Not saying Austin is a bad place...but no place that I would ever want to live in again.

I lived in Houston for 2 years. Liked it. I live in Dallas now. Like it, too. Both cities have their good and bad qualities.

I also lived in Nacogdoches for 4 years. Liked it. And Lubbock for 3 years. Liked it. And Austin for 6 years. Liked it.

I think I'm just a Texas girl. All the cities I've lived in have been great.

lol Austin is so overrated and full of it. Houston on the other hand delivers in almost every way.
