We are relocating to Dallas area from DC. Want to spend no more than $450,000 on a house, have a 1 year old and a baby on the way. Simple question...which one is better and why. Plan on staying in this house FOREVER.

Where's your job? Allen and Flower Mound are about 35 miles apart....about a 60-75 minute drive in traffic.

If you can work anywhere, Flower Mound schools are the best of the three. Flower Mound also has the longest/worst drive into Dallas, so it depends on how often you plan to go into town for entertainment, culture, more shopping options, etc.

Those are all good cities, and $435,000 will get you a very NICE (bigger than normal, custom, easily over 4000 square feet) house in any of those towns.

I would say look in the city that requires the least commute time - as the previous poster said
