does anybody know how hard it is to move while pregnant? I'll only be 4 months during the move but i want to know how hard it is to move? I'll have a husband to help which means do all the work. but how soon should we stop? We wont be using a uhual just a trailer and our car we dont have anything to bring other than our other two kids things and our bedroom set. Its a 20hr drive which i already know we're going to have to stay in a room because we have the two kids. But what other advice do you have for me?

talk to your doctor
s/he probably has better grasp of what problems you should avoid

I would say that you need to take frequent stops even that early in your pregnancy to get out and walk around and allow blood circulation
avoiding heavy lifting I guess you already know about

I moved last month and I was 4 months pregnant and it sucked. I hired movers and even then it still sucked because it was 100 degrees and I had to wrangle two dogs while the movers where moving everything.

Good luck!

I'm 4 months right now and it isn't that bad--except for the heat. But you'd be miserable anyway even if you weren't pregnant. You'll have to pee more often and might be a little sore in the tummy. I don't think it will be too big of a deal, though.

My wife and I Juarez moved to the area and she is 8 months pregnant. Granted we had a moving company, but as long as you pace yourself you'll be fine. She's due in a couple weeks.

Moving with 2 children, driving 20 hours and coming to Texas will be hard on you -- pregnant or not. But its not impossible. You've been pg before so that's a good thing, you know your body. Just talk to your doctor, stay hydrated (keep a water bottle by your side) and try to stay mellow. Hoping your husband can find a helper on the destination side to help unload. I know a handyman who you could call if you're moving to the DFW area who you could pay to help unload.
