I wonder about your motivation for stealing. Did you do it because you wanted the item? Are you broke? Are you stealing to support a drug habit? Or was it a challenge, or fun? Look at your motivation for stealing, and if you did it because of a drug habit or some other personal characteristic that you can't change by yourself, go and get some help. If you don't you will do it again, and probably not be so lucky the next time.

thank you every1 who gave a reply.

i have learned my lesson and i do not plan on stealing again. EVER!

but the letter i am recieving in the mail. is it a civil demand notice or a letter stating that i am banned?

Now, being banned from Wal-Mart is not necessarily a negative in one's life!! Go forth and be the person you want to be.....

They will probably send you a civil demand letter and it will probably advise you to pay a certain amount so that the case will be settled.

I've never heard of Wal-Mart sending out civil demand letters to shoplifters.

They do agressively trespass ALL shoplifters.

I can't really say; I don't know the specific laws regarding civil demand in Texas. However, I would guess it will be somewhere between $200-$600
