I shoplifted from the coffee shop at school today. It was a bag of chips that costed $1.50. I shoplifted a few times before too. This is my first time though doing something bad at school. The authority said that I could get expelled froms school. I only stole like candy and chips. Under $5 each. They said I can get expelled or have to pay a fine between 5-500. What do you guys think? Please help me!! I am scared like he was scared when he did it. I dont want to get expelled. I am a good student and get good grades and work hard at school. I know I did wrong and am soooo sorry about it. Never steal again.

If you get arrested for theft, good luck working for any major corporation ever in your lifetime. They do background checks, some even fingerprinting and applicants lose out on jobs because of theft crimes committed when a teenager - even if it's 20-30-40 years in the future.

Write the coffee shop a long letter explaining what you did and why it was wrong. Deliver it in person to the shop owner. If your sincere enough he may just cut you some slack and not involve in the police. Mistakes now can affect you the rest of your life.

Why did you steal?? Was it because you were hungry and couldn't afford the snacks? Were you having a bad day?? Was it impulse?? What were you thinking while stealing a bag of chips and a candy?? Were you trying to be a rebel or a bad ass?? Why do you continue to steal??? Maybe there is an underlying issue you may need to resolve....seriously. You stated you did it more than once, if you didn't get caught this time you would've probably continue to do so. IF you get expelled that will be an embarassment....I don't wish that upon you, but maybe you would learn then to stop stealing while you are ahead.

A little extreme, but I agree that there is NO EXCUSE for stealing. ISS will do the trick... get the cops involved too.

It doesn't matter for what reasons you steal. The consequence is still the same.

The law sadly doesn't necessarily care about the reason why you stole. (and I understand why)

IMO, theft is very embarrassing. It's amazing how people can get away doing insider trading stealing millions of dollars in the finance business. Corrupt politicians.

But steal a 13 dollar item.. that will carry on for the rest of your life. What is the lesson?

Go to college and start selling stocks, if you know the outcome of your company. White Collar Crime is less of an offense.
