I tried googling ISDs to read about the history of how Texas developed this system but I couldn't find anything. Maybe someone can educate me? TIA.

Thanks for the links. All of this was before I contemplated a move to Dallas - based on following my grandkids next year. I am interested in schools b/c of them, although I think my son will settle in Flower Mound to be near his office, although West Plano is a possibility.
