Liquor stores only - and only in select areas that are "wet" and with limited hours, compared to beer and wine sales.

If you are in the northern areas of Dallas, your best bets for Liquor stores are The Colony (off 121, just south and west of Frisco), and Addison (take tollway south to Beltline, go east to Inwood, go south). Not sure if there are any wet areas nearby.

Thanks! I'll look into the areas you mentioned. I'm in Frisco and had not seen any liquor stores yet

I haven't seen a liquor stores either (that's a good thing). I usually buy at the market or at the gas station. I'm not aware of any special hours.

For beer/wine, I think the only limitations are no sales before noon on Sunday. Liquor stores have to close by 9pm, closed Sunday.

Hey, can't make a margarita without a liquor store

When I'm in Dallas I go to a place just south of Richardson off of 75 called Siegel's. It's huge. It's at 1905 Abrams road. But here is a link to other liquor and wine stores in the Dallas vicinity. http://dallas.citysearch.com/yellowpages/directory/Dallas_TX/40/149/page1.html (broken link)

Gotta go to the liquor store to get your margarita fixin's. Closed on Sunday and close everyday at 9:00 pm.

The one in Richardson is in Buckingham. Used to be its own incorporated town until a few years ago and Richardson annexed them but ONLY on the condition that the liquor stores stayed. The Colony up north is the place to go and right around the Frisco/The Colony border along 121 there were few spots. There is a place out on I-30 east of Rockwall called Mobile City that sells liquor. It is also a small little incorporated area that once was nothing but county but incorporated to be able to sell liquor a few years ago. In Addison on Inwood has several spots. Then in Dallas on Walnut Hill Lane right off of Stemmons/I35 there are a couple of liquor stores. As there are also some on Interstate 30 around Dolphin. Up in Lewisville, rather north of Lewisville in Hickory Creek on I35 there are a few spots.

Growing up the closest place for us to buy beer was either Addison or Walnut Hill. We could not buy beer or wine in most areas around here at all in the stores. No big deal really you just were used to it and planned ahead. It is nice though to p/u a case of beer at the grocery store to restock the fridge .

Oh, just a tidbit of info for all of ya'll. Hwy 121 once was not part of Frisco and from The Colony all the way up to around where Preston Rd is now there was NOTHING out there except farms and a few "houses". These houses were actually businesses. Most were old rundown trailer homes. And if you want to know what kind of businesses these were................... let me just say that they don't allow those kinds of businesses and they did not advertise but it was just well known. LOL!!! And now all these people clamoring to live in an area that once was home to nothing but rundown trailers that were brothels.
