Okay, I tried this post on the Louisiana forum to no avail. Are there any restaurants in East Texas that serve beef ribs? I thought moving back to the area after being in North Carolina that I would find several restaurants around! All they seem to serve are pork ribs. I'm starting to get really hungry!

We generally take our beef off of the bone around here, but I'm sure there is somewhere in Dallas that has beef ribs.
Also, Dallas is not particularly close to East Texas, so you might want to try posting this in the Texas forum, or the Tyler forum if there is one.

The old original Dickeys on US75 and Henderson used to serve them up. Their weekly special back in the '80s was the beef rib plate for $3.95. I think I went there almost every week to eat them between 1983 and 1989 when I worked right across the street. They were huge and reminded me of the opening scene from the Flintstones.

Don't remember seeing them anywhere lately but I'll keep my eye out for them.
