Dallas has had liquor by the drink since 1972 - never understood why you needed a card in the burbs.

Unicard, that's it. I just had the "platinum" one guess that is where the "p" came from in my head.

Not ALL "burbs" had to have the unicard. It depended on even in some areas of Dallas city limits if a "membership" was needed. If the area was "dry" as in the sale of beer/wine was prohibited in that areas judicial lines then restaurants were required to have a "membership" for those that ordered drinks. For the burbs that had "wet" areas it was not required. Since most areas are not "wet" except for a few they are no longer needed. There is still one area that is stradles Dallas and Richardson that is dry and they can not even vote for the approval of beer/wine sales as they must go by the judicial lines that were in place at some point in the 1920's when it was first voted on for that area. This was pretty recent and was in the news as they were asking for help in trying to find a map for that time period.

I only get asked for the unicard when I'm near work in Richardson. Why is that ? Also, what's the draw to the 'Fox and the Hound' ? I just don't get it. I've run across much nicer places here, but that place is always chosen for after work stuff.
